Gordon Food Service is looking for an ERP Testing Lead, reporting to the ERP Technology Lead of a major SAP ERP implementation project. This ERP project will support a multi-year transformational journey to re-imagine critical business processes, leveraging a best in class technology platforms, SAP S/4HANA, SAP C4C Sales Cloud, SAP Ariba, SAP Process Integration (SAP PI), SAP Cloud Platform Integration (SAP CPI).

 

 


 

This business-led transformation will focus on process re-engineering and standardization, measure success in terms of value delivered to the business, simplify operations by adopting industry best practices, and drive innovation by combining technology with optimized business processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

The ERP Testing Lead is responsible for overall testing solution within the ERP technology workstream teams to assure unified test approach and methodology, advanced test automation, adequate test coverage, and early defect detection.

To assure software quality this hands-on position leads the effort to build new test frameworks and to extend existing frameworks to SAP operations and project teams.

The ERP Testing Lead defines and executes global testing of the production conversion plan prior to the SAP system go-lives for both USA and Canada locations.

 

Leverages experience and working, scripting knowledge of the testing and test automation tools including but not limited to:

  • MicroFocus ALM (formerly HP ALM)
  • MicroFocus Performance Center & LoadRunner
  • Worksoft Certify (End-to-End Test Automation‎)
  • SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) 
  • Dynatrace

Defines and implements the overall ERP test strategy and methodology including:

  • functional/unit tests
  • regression tests
  • system integration tests
  • user acceptance tests
  • parallel pilot tests
  • performance, volume, endurance, stress tests
  • security vulnerability tests
  • system cutover tests

Leads testing activities within the ERP technology workstream teams to assure:

  • unified test approach and methodology between SAP & non-SAP systems
  • robust test automation
  • adequate test coverage
  • early defect detection using test framework

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Defines and executes global test of the production conversion plan prior to the go-live
  • Leads other Quality Assurance Engineers (QCE) and Testers to provide testing quality assurance support and to develop a suite of automated test scripts to support regression and performance/stress testing
  • Manages and conducts the performance and stress tests, testing of automation scripts, and security vulnerability tests
  • Executes the test strategy mentioned above, including testing master data and reporting to management of results
  • Works in collaboration with Enterprise Architecture and the IT Test Engineer to ensure a consistent approach across the enterprise

 

What do we need from you?

 

Leading candidates will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Master's Degree in Software Engineering preferred
  • At least 7 years Information Technology experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

  • SAP experience
  • Ingenuity and innovation to develop solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment
