Are you someone that enjoys inventory management and digging into analytics to provide recommendations for strategies?

We are seeking an Inventory Support Specialist to join our Regional Merchandising team to utilize best practices, systems, and established processes to coordinate, manage and support activities related to inventory, spoilage, liquidation and overall slot management for assigned division while collaborating with cross functional teams. 


What will you do?

  • Support internal and external customers with all analytics, strategy recommendations and communications related to inventory, including:
    • Stocking lists, vendor returns, item availability, inventory levels, samples
    • Shelf life, slot management
    • Discontinued items, slow moving items, liquidation practices
    • Out-of-stocks, late purchase orders, excessive punches, in-stock dates, product returns, and controlled usage items, drop ship PO’s, Sell Negative needs
  • Serve as an information source, provide item-level recommendations and coordinate appropriate activity with slot/inventory owners, category management teams, logistics, warehouse and other departments, as it relates to inventory, liquidation and slot management
  • Serve as the communication point between logistics and assigned divisional sales/marketing teams in regards to all information and activities that influence stock levels
  • Drive promotional activity around at-risk/discontinued inventory. (To include discount flyers, customer opportunities, vendor returns etc).
  • Collaborate with other Divisional Inventory Specialists and logistics to evaluate network solutions related to liquidation, out of stocks and overall service profile to our customers
  • Ensures successful inventory assumption execution as needed.

 

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or a related field preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in marketing, sales, buying/purchasing, inventory management or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge with Google spreadsheets and/or MS Excel (pivot tables, vlook up, etc).
  • Ability to travel up to 10% based on assigned division coverage
