You’ll lead Talent Acquisition strategy and process in a shared service model that supports all U.S. hiring activity for Gordon Food Service -- annual volume of over 6,000 hires.  Through collaboration with operational teams across Gordon Food Service, your team will source talent and deliver effective and efficient hiring processes. You’ll bring value by ensuring that our corporate office, distribution centers and retail stores are staffed with qualified teams dedicated to our customers’ success.    

 

Your contributions to the team will include:  

  • Strategy development for employment value proposition, workforce planning, sourcing, and selection
  • Service delivery that optimizes people, process, and technology
  • Team leadership that provides the Talent Acquisition team with the motivation, training, development, and performance feedback needed to grow professionally and deliver value to the organization 

 

Success in the role will require some qualifications and experiences:

 

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline; related HR and/or recruiting certifications may also prepare you for the breadth of this role
  • Seven or more years human resources experience with three years management experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and professional experience
  • Experience in full life cycle recruitment and/or a combination of sourcing and recruiting experience preferred
  • Experience with both high volume and professional recruitment is highly preferred

 

You’ll also need to share these skills with others in the organization:  

 

  • Proficiency in applicant tracking and CRM technology/capabilities
  • Knowledge of employment branding and talent marketing strategies, including social media 
  • Experience with competency-based selection techniques, including behavioral interviewing and  selection assessments
  • Ability to influence in a matrix organization
